Time Sq

Times Squares
Our client holiday gift for 2011, Times Squares clocks gave us the chance to do that thing we love best: take a blank slate, find ways to integrate cool functionality with beautiful design, and create something wholly intelligent.

Starting with hardwood off-cuts from a local flooring company, we let our designers’ imaginations loose. Our crack production teams did all the UV printing and added clever little ideas like putting kickstands on the back, so they could be wall mounted or rested on a desktop. Finally, minimal packaging was used to carry through on the sustainable nature of the product itself.

Hawaiian Diaper

Kimberly-Clark
Hawaiian Diapers

Global personal-care products maker Kimberly-Clark planned on rolling out a limited-edition diaper, approaching Wild Blue for design options.

Working from more than a dozen themes and initial styleboards provided by the client, Wild Blue undertook a thorough design exploration program, ultimately developing The Hawaiian, which entered production in late 2011.

Wild Blue’s role included dozens of concepts per theme, print prototyping, file prep, and color correction, along with a consultative role in fine-tuning final designs for mass production.

Hershey Birthday

Target Store’s 50th
Anniversary Video

With the retail legend’s half-century mark approaching, a Wild Blue client asked us for something truly special to honor one of their best customers, which would then be unveiled at a 2012 Innovation Event.

Wild Blue met the challenge with a retrospective video collage. Target’s half-century spent re-shaping the retail landscape would be captured through stylized illustrations capturing every decade of phenomenal growth, from their 1962 founding up through the present.

Served with cake at the celebration, Target loved it. Our client loved it. And we love that they loved it.

Solo Presentation

Solo
One of the nation’s leading business- and laptop-case suppliers to professionals — and originators of wheeled luggage — Solo had begun work to reclaim their everyday value/style position in a saturated marketplace.

As re-branding moved forward, Solo approached Wild Blue to assist with the internal rollout, providing materials that explained the reinvigorated brand to Solo’s own employees.

The result was development of an integrated presentation system, highlighted by an Executive Keynote that captured the essence of the new brand.

On Sight

To the bricks-and-mortar retailer, ideas that maximize at-shelf sales and profitability are always welcome — and required from any CPG-maker fighting for space on those shelves.

Making that faster, easier and less costly is the goal of OnSite, Wild Blue’s proprietary 3-D virtual walk-through technology.

The ultimate in high-impact visualization theater, OnSite allows CPGs to either augment or replace physical interior build-outs entirely on-site in their innovation centers, on a full 1:1 scale.

The retailer wins by having an impressive ability to see the ideas exactly as they’d appear in their aisles, the CPG wins by saving time and money, while still getting their planogram ideas across in ways that resonate.

ReadySet

Representatives for CPG makers can always use a little help selling retailers on their ideas in the field.

Wild Blue’s proprietary ReadySet has been designed to offer that help, through a single iPad-housed app.

ReadySet virtual store-set design tool allows field sales professionals to quickly assess and manipulate conceptual in-store displays and planograms, right on screen while working with the customer. Share ideas, move shelves around, make changes in the product mix, and keep going until you get the category solution nailed.

KI Neocon

KI Neocon Showcase
Making a splash at a once-a-year global trade showcase is the goal of any goods maker. For KI, producer of commercial/institutional furnishings, Neocon, held at the Chicago Merchandise Mart, is it. And they called in Wild Blue to help them make it happen.

For the 2011 show, our mission was to come up with ideas for KI’s showroom that carried through on the excitement generated by their newest innovations, specifically the Lyra® Club Chair and Torsion® Air stack chair.

We delivered “Ink,” an integrated theme that combined dramatic, colorful projection-mapping directly onto the display furniture and large-format wall graphics. In addition, digital invitations and social media were used to promote KI’s flashy new surroundings.

The result? For the first time ever, KI became 2011 NeoCon International Interior Design Association Large Showroom & Booth Winner.

KI AR

KI Augmented
Reality Exercise

Exploring the commercial potential of Augmented Reality — the blending of real and virtual worlds — is a passion at Wild Blue.

In this case, we worked to develop an AR-activated three-panel product brochure for commercial/institutional furnishings-maker KI. After accessing a KI microsite, the brochure would be held horizontally near the holder’s computer screen and the computer’s camera would capture a mark on the page.

On-screen, a rendered 3D chair would appear above the user’s hands holding the open brochure.

Golden House BBQ

GOLDEN HOUSE BBQ
Golden House is a Green Bay-based domestic violence shelter, providing safe-haven and services for women and their children. To raise operating funds, the shelter hosts an annual cookout and motorcycle poker run, and was hoping for a new logo design.

We decided this great cause called for something bigger and instead created the powerful and completely integrated Golden House Bikes ‘N’ BBQ campaign.

In addition to the logo, a microsite, wearable products, poster designs and postcard innovations were developed, all working together to raise awareness and build buzz. And it worked. Through the campaign, Golden House was able to raise twice the amount of money they had the previous year.
